This TBFAA training program is a certified, nationally recognized training program approved by the Texas Private Security Program.
This course meets requirements for installers and salespersons for a Texas State License. The Private Security Program of the Texas Department of Public Safety regulates the private security and private investigation industry in the state of Texas under the authority of Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1702 and the Private Security Board’s Administrative Rules.
The program provides an overview on the theory, installation and maintenance of alarm systems. Topics include:

For a list of disqualifying offenses and the related periods of ineligibility, review §35.4, available on the department’s website at http://www.dps.texas.gov/rsd/psb/index.htm (click on the Laws tab and then click on Administrative Code) and §§1702.113 and 1702.163 of the Act, as applicable. You also have a right to request from the department a criminal history evaluation letter under Occ. Code, §53.102.
